This place was a proper fit for a short stint in Folly Beach with great value for money. I loved the friendly staff and enjoyed watching a movie on the beach while having excellent takeout. Be prepared for some sand accumulation since the beach is literally right outside your door.

The beachfront location is stunning, and I loved the evening entertainment! The food was super tasty, and the views from the room were incredible.

the location can’t be beat! the hotel is right on the ocean, waking down to the beach was a breeze. we loved the on-site blu restaurant and tiki bar, it was super fun! the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, best service ever. can't forget about the amazing view from the room, simply stunning!

however, the room needed some updates, like the beds were kinda hard and not that comfy. also, the pool could've been cleaner and the elevator situation was a bit annoying!

The ocean views from our room were absolutely stunning and I loved having beach access right at our doorstep. The heated pool and sun terrace were perfect spots to unwind after a long day. One downside was the occasional problem with the shower getting hot, but it didn’t take away from our awesome experience overall. 👍

I had a lovely stay at Tides in Folly Beach. The fine ocean views from my room made mornings magical. The staff provided really good service, adding a personal touch. The elevators were a little slow during peak times, which could be improved.

Tides Folly Beach offers an ideal location with direct beachfront access and beautiful ocean views. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, efficiently assisting with my work needs and local recommendations. The on-site restaurant provides a variety of affordable dining options, and the coffee shop is perfect for quick snacks. The cleanliness of the facilities and the vibrant atmosphere contribute to a pleasant stay.

The rooms are dated and really need an update. the cracked tub made showering feel a bit unsettling, and the toilet tank lid had cracks too. Balconies are narrow and kind of cramped, making it difficult to enjoy the views fully. Additional charges for beach chairs and umbrellas feel a bit steep, with little clarity on what the resort fee covers. I noticed some maintenance issues like cracks in the ocean-facing stucco walls and the phone not working, which can be frustrating.

The view from the room was stunning. I loved waking up to the ocean every morning. But the room itself wasn't great. There was sand on the floor when we arrived, and it had a dented mattress that made sleeping uncomfortable. The bathroom had a weird step over tub instead of a walk-in shower, which was disappointing. Also, it was really loud at night with people outside, especially since we were right above the restaurant. Just not the relaxing vibe I was hoping for.
